To engage and empower the Capital City's emerging leaders to create a more vibrant and prosperous economy through community involvement, professional development and social networking.
The Charleston Area Alliance began its Generation Charleston initiative in early 2006. Originally named Young Professionals, the group has nearly 500 young professionals who have joined this initiative, which strives to attract and retain young professionals to the region, while focusing on fostering the next generation of leadership. Young professionals are the future intellectual capital of any economy and the Charleston Area Alliance is committed to creating both an economy and community that is and will be attractive to this group of professionals.
The Generation Charleston Committee consists of work teams that focus on housing, professional development, community service, membership, and recognition of young professionals.
