The Charleston Area Alliance is a multi-faceted economic, business and community development organization as well as the largest regional Chamber of Commerce in West Virginia. Our strength as a progressive organization depends on our volunteers, public partners, professional staff and ultimately, our investors. With your support, the Alliance can continue to work vigorously to build a more vibrant community and prosperous economy.
There are three primary reasons to financially support the Charleston Area Alliance:
- Investment – When you invest in the Alliance, you will benefit both personally and through your business ventures from many of our community and economic development projects and programs. Today you can witness tangible projects that the Alliance or its predecessor organizations were the driving force behind, including the Capitol Market, the 600 jobs at CASCI in downtown Charleston, Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences and the infrastructure that is booming on Corridor G.
- Philanthropic – The long-term benefit is to sustain the organization’s ability in meeting the goals of our community. There are financial considerations that can be gained both through membership and gifts.
- Value to Your Business and Employees - There are benefits to being a member of the Alliance that are immediately evident; your company listed on our on-line membership directory, an on-line membership calendar for members to post events, discounts to trade shows and business after hours, generating new clients and customers through our referral program and other members, and reduced or free professional development and skills trainings for you and your employees. We are always open to discussing your ideas about how we can use our resources to provide value to our members.
Every member of the Alliance is equally important to the organization. Approximately 80% of the revenues generated by the Alliance are through memberships and investments from businesses just like yours. We also enjoy the generosity of several members who give above and beyond their annual dues. A contribution to the Alliance is more than just dues - it is an investment in the community. The Alliance is making our community more vibrant and our economy more prosperous.
