Dear Investors and Friends, Each volunteer involved in our organization has assisted in our progress and growth. We are thankful for the outstanding devotion we have from them and we look forward to continued development and success for years to come. As one of those volunteers, it is a great honor to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors. I am very proud to be associated with the Charleston Area Alliance. We have made much progress and there is still more work to do. But, with your support, we are working for a more vibrant community and prosperous economy. As a member of the Alliance, you can advance your own goals while becoming part of the backbone of this strong and productive coalition that is making things happen. You can interact and develop contacts with your colleagues in the corporate, government and non-profit sectors and be part of an exciting movement to lead our community forward – expanding opportunity and building a better future that we all can share.
Through a wide range of innovative programs and services and public policy leadership, the Alliance is driving the destiny of our region … attracting new jobs and investments … helping area businesses accelerate profitability …l aunching visionary community and cultural enhancement projects ….. developing the talent and resources to sustain success, today and tomorrow.
We have you, our members and the community to thank for our success. Our volunteer board has worked hard as a team as we have merged and not looked back at the past, only forward to the future.
The Charleston Area Alliance is proud of the tremendous progress we have made and the positive change we have inspired, but we know there is much work to be done to meet the challenges facing our region, its businesses and its citizens. We embrace these challenges and look forward to continuing to drive the destiny of our region.
But we can’t do it on our own. As a member-based organization, we are only as effective as the strength, size and vitality of our membership.
