NEW RELICS TO PERFORM AT GENERATION CHARLESTON’S

JUNE 23 FESTIVALL SOIREE

WHEN: 5:30-8:30 p.m. – Monday, June 23, 2008

WHERE: Power Alley Grill

WHAT: The New Relics, a bluesy rock band out of Morgantown, will be performing after Generation Charleston’s Soiree June 23 at Power Alley Grill.

The concert is part of FestivALL, which runs June 20-29. Larry Groce, the event’s executive director and host of West Virginia Public Broadcasting’s “Mountain Stage,” will be speaking to the group about FestivALL’s purpose and how it has grown over the past four years.

The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. The outdoor concert follows from 6:30 to 8: 30 p.m.

Admission is free, although donation benefiting FestivALL will be accepted.

The New Relics are quickly becoming one of the region's favorite live bands.  Some have compared the band to Pat Green, Keith Urban, John Mayer and Train, but it has created a unique vibe. Their smart songwriting and positive energy have allowed the band to sit on the corner where rock and country intersect.

"We try to make sure there's something for everyone at our shows," said frontman Mike Arbogast.
